Join our 6-week Well Habit Coach training and expand your skills beyond basic coaching.

You will learn the 13 Coaching Skills of the Well Habit approach with help you to simply and effectively guide others towards wellness.

Whether you’re a psycho-social recovery coach, a healthcare professional, a teacher, a personal trainer, a teacher or simply someone who offers support to others, the Well Habit coaching method equips you with knowledge, skills and a range of evidence based strategies that enhance the lives of those around you.

This training will boost your self-awareness, improve your communication skills, support your understanding of how change happens, and empower you to support others in making positive changes. 

Here’s what you’ll learn:

1. Build Your Coaching Skills:

Learn the 13 IntroCoaching Skills that enhance your ability to support others in change AND minimise your risk of triggering resistance to change.

2. Identify Wellness Gaps:

Explore the 25 key aspects of wellness and understand how they are inter-connected. Help others recognize their own wellness challenges.

3. Co-Design Change:

Learn the process so you can motivate and support others to take on the changes they want in their lives. Support the creation of their vision, the setting of goals, and taking action at a manageable pace.

4. Use the Well Habit Books, Cards & Activity Books:

Our practical and inspiring resources include activity books, reflection cards and quizzes that build self-awareness, motivation, and guide a plan for change.

Course Content

MEETING 1 – WELCOME & OVERVIEW OF WELL HABIT COACH TRAINING
This online meeting is where we can introduce ourselves to each other and set out our course agreements. We will also discuss what to expect from the course ahead, what learning is required between online meetings, connect students to each other for Peer Learning, and invite students to make requests for the learning ahead.

MEETING 2 – WELLNESS & WELL HABITS – A framework for reframing

MEETING 3 – SUPPORTING CHANGE – Stage of Change Skills you need

MEETING 4: THE POSITIVE FRAME – Your secret weapon for success
How to use the skills of Reframing, Appreciative inquiry and Virtues Acknowledgements effectively.

MEETING 5 – MOTIVATIONAL INTERVIEWING – A toolbox of inspiring skills

MEETING 6 – RESOURCING FOR SUCCESS – Cool tools for insight and behaviour change
Learning how to use a broad range of tools to support change between and beyond coaching sessions.

OPTIONAL LEARNING: The AGENT OF CHANGE – How to inspire ACTION
The 'Stages of Change' is a core skill in coaching. In this chapter we will build your understanding of change and explore many different ways you can inspire that in your peer or clients!
